Here’s How to Make Santa Do a Double Take

Bejewel yourself. ‘Tis the season to sparkle. Accessories rule. Glittery brooches (wear two or more together) are hugely popular, as are multiple strands of beads or chains layered at different lengths. Also try a beaded clutch purse or a thin, gold lame headband – a little glitz can make a simple dress merry and bright.

Raise an eyebrow. Not talking about a low-cut mini-dress (although if you’ve got it, flaunt it!). Your own eyebrows, softly shaped and subtly defined, can provide a beautiful frame for your face. Just as unruly brows look messy, overtweezing can be aging. Lightly tinted brows brushed upward with clear brow mascara look amazing, day or night.

Wear a gorgeous green. It’s THE color you’ll see now, continuing through spring and summer. Mix dark, pine greens with aqua or teal. The great thing about green is its versatility. Whether you favor blues or more yellow tones, there’s a green for you. One more note: we are seeing beautiful holiday dresses in real-woman sizes. According to PLUS Model magazine, roughly 50 percent of women wear a size 14 or larger, and retailers are responding. Whether you go all out with a party gown or the glitter of gold earrings, celebrate in style.

Happy Holidays!
